Description: Prepared from fully matured coconuts from Sri Lanka, Laila Creamed Coconut is milled and pressed into a convenient block. Suitable for vegans. A versatile product to enhance South Asian, Oriental & Caribbean dishes; can be made into milk, popped straight into a sauce and used as desiccated coconut. Ingredients: Desiccated coconut (100%) Cooking Instructions: Recipe for Sweet Coconut Rice Take 54g Laila Jasmine Rice, Water, 1 ½ cups Laila coconut milk, 2/3 cups sugar, 30g Laila creamed coconut. Soak rice overnight in water. Drain. Steam rice for 45 minutes or until grains can be pressed with fingers with no hard cores. Put rice into saucepan, add coconut milk, sugar and creamed coconut. Simmer on a very low heat, stirring occasionally. Simmer until coconut milk is absorbed. Serve in individual bowls with slices of fresh mango or papaya. Storage Instruction: Store in a cool dry place. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 2 days.
